THE FESTIVAL
THE LATIN CHOREOGRAPHERS FESTIVAL
Was founded in 2008 by Dancer and Choreographer
Ursula Verduzco.
By inaugurating this first annual event the Festival became the forefront of the latin dancing community.
This up-and-coming dance festival is proud to be celebrating its
5th Anniversary.
Our mission is to present and showcase in NYC the work of talented and innovatig Latin choreographers, as well as one guest (non-Latin) choreographer or Company per year, in an environment where the general public, the International Dance Community and the Latin Community can feel welcomed and empowered.
Through concert dance and the styles of Contemporary Ballet, Modern Dance and Contemporary Dance, talented and innovative established, new and rising choreographers from New York City and abroad show their work.
The audience will enjoy the opportunity to experience and appreciate different works and points of view from artists of various Latin backgrounds.
Participants have included choreographers from Mexico, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Costa Rica, Spain, Guatemala, Chile, Brazil, Venezuela and Ecuador.
As dancers and choreographers, it is our responsibility to create, support and empower our world of dance.
Let's Keep Dance and Opportunities ALIVE!!
